Winner Profile: Boolean Girl

Boolean Girl, teaches girls how to code -- a skill traditionally targeted to boys. Their Hot Diggity Award winning product, Boolean Box, takes girls through the steps of assembling a computer and start coding right away. Though this coding kit can be enjoyed by both girls and boys, this non-profit organization focuses on girls, in an effort to help improve diversity in the tech workforce. Boolean Box is for kids in 3rd grade and up.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the switch to online learning, Boolean Girl is offering free hour-long coding events every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m. ET to keep kids engaged in STEM activities. These videos also provide parents with a valuable resource to help their child adjust to remote learning.
